The Chronicles of Insanity
Episode 1: Flash!

The grass swayed gently, their delicate blades gracefully bending to the wind's desire. Dewdrops hung, suspended on their very tips until the droplets fell to the earth, where the rich brown soil would swallow them up. However, on this certain peaceful day, there was nary a soul in sight. Except for two, one bouncing in excitement, the other dragging along dejectedly, his hooves slowly trudging through the powdery soil. Yes, you guessed right! It was the happy Maggie Karp and her first pokemon, a Mareep by the name of....er...

"Hmmm..what about...Marie? No, you're a boy....I think....."
Mareep looked very offended at this and stopped where he was, stubbornly planting his bright blue hooves into the ground. "Mareep!" he growled at the erratic girl in front of him. Who was she, anyway, to attempt to name him 'Fluffy' or something equally as childish?!?! He was practically royalty, being the son of Sir Sparkalots Poppington, right? The most famous Mareep in the world of Pokemon. Mareep thrusted his head up proudly, ignoring the great strain on his rather short neck. That neck in particular had a rope surrounding it. It was not cruel, for it was relatively loose, but Mareep longed for his freedom, anywhere, as long as it was away, far away, from this crazy girl.

"Oh? C'mon, Mareep, we gotta get to the next town!" called Maggie, circling her mouth with her palms. She clenched the rope in her fist and started running, tugging as hard as she could. "MAREEP!" shrieked the poor pokemon as it was dragged on his side down the worn dirt road.

[[ Fluffeh, post or I will eat your head off. Except for the ears, cartilage is nasty. Ick. ]]

It was a rotting log, filled with insects and such, that Maggie chose out of all the other perfectly good seating arrangements that the pair were sitting on now. Mareep's fluffy yellow wool crackled with yellow sparks, and his electric-blue face was buried in his chest. Occasionally he lifted his head, and if one looked at it closely, they could make out watery eyes, and the beginning of tears. Or, Mareep could have had an allergy, and watering eyes in the middle of this meadow was perfectly normal, not a sign of sadness at all.

Though, to be honest, in Mareep's position, most people would break down.

"LalalalaLAAAAAA!" sang Maggie, twirling about with her arms outstretched. Mareep's head drooped in despair. There was no hope for him.

"Mareep?" inquired Mareep as his sensitive electric-blue ears detected a thump around 3 feet away. He daintily sat himself up and tugged on Maggie's shirt sleeve. "Mareep, reep!" he said desperately. "Hnnnnnn?" yawned Maggie. She was rather sleepy; who could have imagined that just 4 hours ago she had been drinking coffee in the Professor's lab? She opened up her scrunched eyes after the yawn. "What is it, Mareep?"

"Mareep!"

"Sorry, but I don't understand Pokemon."

Sighing in exasperation, Mareep took a couple steps back...then rammed into Maggie with all his force. "Oof!" cried Maggie as she was ungraciously turned onto her backside. Unfortunately for the hidden Seedot....her backside was on him.
